Santa Barbara Vacation – Day 1

For our family vacation this year, we went back to Santa Barbara. Rebecca found an inn called Brisas del Mar that has a pool and a full kitchen in our one bedroom suite. As soon as we got to the hotel, the girls wanted to go in the pool (which they made good use of throughout the trip). [slideshow+videos]

After swimming, the girls did some drawing and coloring as well as enjoyed the cheese and crackers provided by the inn each afternoon. [slideshow]

For dinner, we went to Opal for some good local SB food and wine. [slideshow]

For this trip, we got a one bedroom suite WITH A DOOR in between the bedroom and living room (which is significant because the place we stayed in our previous trip to SB didn’t have one). The girls converted the living room into their bedroom / playroom / tv room. If you’re wondering why I took a picture of the oven, it’s because we didn’t have a night light so I improvised and used the oven light . [slideshow]
