Thanks to Auntie Ruth, we hired their taxi friend to drive us to the Great Wall at Mutianyu. Our plan was to hike to the top and take the tram back down. It wasn’t until we were halfway up the steps TO the Great Wall that we realized we could have taken the tram up and hiked down. We decided to keep climbing and now the girls can claim that they climbed UP the Great Wall.
We didn’t get to take the Alpine Slide, but something to consider the next time we’re here. On the tram ride down, we just missed the car that President Clinton rode. [slideshow]
