Day Three started off at the Ferry Building, with some delicious snacks, including Elise’s new favorite food, salami cones from Boccalone.
We then had a mix-up finding our ferry launch to Alcatraz. But thanks to some steady thinking from mommy and a quick trolley ride to the right pier (33, NOT immediately outside Ferry Building), we eventually made it to The Rock. Afterwards, we had to spend some more time eating at the Ferry Building, getting MORE salami, and some tasty seafood stews and oysters at Hog Island. We finished off the day in J-Town with noodles at Mifune (another Chik rec.) and an unplanned shopping frenzy at the 100-yen Daiso store. [slideshow]
Yeah, that was the first time I had ever gone in all my times visiting NorCal. I kept thinking of different movies like So I Married an Axe Murderer and of course, The Rock. It was good to finally go, but not sure it's worth visiting every time.
