Emmanuel went on a business trip to Asia in May. As usual, lots of time spent in meetings and transporting between different cities and more meetings. This time, got to make more use out of Skype with Video. Unfortunately, not much food exploration or shopping. Did get to meet up with some friends and family. [slideshow] Flying from Beijing to Taipei, our plane was the last flight to land before the typhoon hit. We made it safely back to the hotel, a little wet and tired from the traffic. But we had to cancel our plans to take the high speed rail down to Taichung to visit Rebecca’s brother. We made the best [...] For the flight back to Taipei, we were on an older plane which didn’t have individual video screens, so the girls stood up in their seats to watch the movie screen in the front. Unfortunately, the Chinese government had yet to approve direct over-flights, which made the flight three hours longer that it needed to [...] After lunch, our China manager gave us a ride to the airport for our return flight to Taipei. The new airport is very modern and commercial. A lot different from when I was here back in [...] |
