Cousins Camping at San Gorgonio

We had our first annual cousins camping trip thanks to Elijah and Cindy. We spent three days in San Gorgonio with really nice weather (albeit a little hot during the day). The girls had lots of fun with their cousins and aunties. This will be a trip to remember, especially for Emmanuel, who got beat back by some unruly firewood. [slideshow]

Here is some additional pics taken by Moses, our family’s ‘official’ photographer.

Camping at San Gorgonio

For our second and more successful camping trip of the season, we went to San Gorgonio in the San Bernardino mountains. It was a little hot, but not unbearable. The kids had a lot of fun running around the campsite.

On Saturday, we tried to go to Forest Falls but it was closed due to bear activity. So we went to Jenks Lake instead and made a picnic of it. Later, we got to do a little geocaching before dinner.

Since Rebecca’s mom was visiting us from Taiwan, she decided to join us for her first time camping. Aside from losing sight of our campsite a couple of times, she had a pretty good time. All in all, it was a nice and relaxing time with friends and family. [slideshow]

Camping at Dogwood

Well, we decided to try camping at Dogwood again, even after last year’s Memorial Day weekend trip where we got snowed out. And as the curse would have it, we got rained out. Even though technically, it wasn’t rain, but heavy precipitation collecting on the trees and then falling down on us.

The kids as usual, had a grand ol’ time. But after getting soaked through the night with no let-up in the morning, we decided we’d had enough and headed back to sun-drenched warmth of home. [slideshow]

Camping at Hurkey Creek

We started off the camping season with a weekend trip to Hurkey Creek in Idyllwild. We got to try out our new tent (which is plenty big, but also takes more to keep warm).  There was a creek bed behind our site which the kids spent most of their time playing in. Good friends and good fun. [slideshow]
