Hawaii Vacation - Day 9

After Ying dropped off the kids in the morning (from the sleepover), we finished up packing up all our bags. And then headed over to Cafe Kaila for some breakfast.

With a couple of hours before we had to check-out, we headed over to the Ala Moana Mall and discovered Shirokiya Department Store, which has a whole Sanrio section. And on the top floor, they have a food court filled with food stalls of authentic Japanese dishes, which we were only too happy to buy up for later consumption on the road.

We then went back to the hotel to get our bags and headed over to the airport where we met up with Fred and Joyce who were on the same flight back to LA. [slideshow]

Hawaii Vacation - Day 5

We had our last official family reunion party of the trip, this time celebrating Fred and Toby’s August birthdays. Afterwards, everyone made use of the house’s great location and layout with some swimming, fishing and general lounging.

In the evening, Emmanuel’s parents watched the kids, while we headed out for some izakaya at Tokkuri-Tei [yelp]. [slideshow]
