Picking Grapes at Chik's

We spent two weekends picking grapes from our friend Chik’s backyard. The kids had fun climbing up on the ladders and all over the trellis. We also enjoyed some tasty food as a bonus. [slideshow: 1, 2]

Lunch with Huangs

After checking out the new church plant in 101, we took the whole family down to the 101 food court for lunch. The younger kids went for McDonald’s (go figure), and the adults and older kids got some high-end Asian food court grub. [slideshow]

Izakaya at Sashi-Miya

For dinner, we tried out another new restaurant for us called Sashi-Miya. It reminded us of our favorite restaurant Honda-Ya which is also Izakaya-style. Granted the decor and presentation is more modern, but it was still good eats. The girls were happy to get their fill of soba, and I think next time, we’ll pass on the mountain yam skewers.

Afterwards, while walking to the Zhongxiao-Fuxing MRT, the girls found a park to play on. [slideshow]
